Privacy Policy

00Food is a food log for iPhone, with a hosted API that syncs your data and connects to AI agents you approve. This page explains the information used to provide those features.

Information we process

When you sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple account identifier and may receive an email address, including an Apple private relay address. We use the stable identifier to keep accounts separate. We store the profile measurements you enter (such as height, weight, estimate setting, and optional birth year), the foods you save, your food logs, and pending estimate requests with their descriptions, clarifications, and agent proposals. The service also stores account sessions and connection grants for agents you authorize.

Food photos

A photo you attach to an estimate request is stored privately and can be viewed by agents you have connected. It is deleted when you accept or discard the estimate, or when you delete your account.

Apple Health

With your permission, the app reads active and resting energy, weight, body-fat percentage, and water on your iPhone to show your daily balance and progress. That history stays on your device unless you choose otherwise: a weight you choose to import or enter for your profile is uploaded, and if you request a daily review (automatically or for a specific day), daily totals for up to seven days are uploaded to your private account with the request. The app writes water and manually entered weight to Health when you log them. Health data is never used for advertising.

Agent connections

If you connect an MCP-compatible agent, you sign in with Apple and approve its requested permissions. Food permissions let it see your saved foods and pending requests, including their photos, and propose estimates. It cannot log food directly; you review each proposal. Daily permissions, requested separately, let it read the food logs and Health totals you shared for a review and save that review. You can review and revoke connections in the app. The agent provider processes information it receives under its own terms and privacy policy.

On your device

The app keeps a local copy of your data and pending changes so you can work offline. Its Home Screen widget receives your daily calorie totals and the number of pending estimates, not food names or photos.

Service providers and sharing

We use Apple for sign-in and device features, and Cloudflare to host the API and store synced data and photos. We share information with them as needed to run 00Food. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Retention and deletion

Your synced data remains while your account is active, unless you delete individual entries. Daily reviews remain until you delete your account. You can delete your account in the app’s Settings after verifying with Apple. Account deletion removes your profile, foods, logs, pending estimates, photos, reviews, sessions, and agent grants from the service. Data already written to Apple Health stays in Health under your control.

Security

Connections use HTTPS. The app keeps its credential in the iOS Keychain, and the service stores credential hashes rather than plaintext credentials. Access to food, photo, and review records is scoped to the signed-in account and the permissions you granted.

Children and changes

00Food is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the app changes and will post the new date on this page.
